FAQQ: How many people per room and what are the fees?
A: In both our male and female houses, we house 2 people and charge $19 a day, $133 a week or $500 a month IF paid in advance. Q: What do the fees cover? A: Fees cover everything except for food and hygiene items. We have sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, kitchen utensils, dressers, nightstands, closet space and hangers. Each client gets an assigned refrigerator space and cabinet space for food. We often receive donations of food and hygiene items to help clients when they first arrive. We have clothes in our community closets as well. We provide internet and have computers with printers available. Q: Who supervises the property? A: We have a house manager that lives on each property. They monitor behaviors, curfew and chores. They build relationships with the clients and help keep them on track. Each property is also equipped with security cameras. Q: Do you drug test? A: Yes, we drug test as needed. Q: Do allow clients to take prescribed medication? A: Yes. We will not store or administer it but we do provide lock boxes. Clients needs to provide proof of prescription. Q: Do you help clients find employment? A: Yes! We provide resume building skills upon entry. We also help clients with job leads as well as provide coaching on how to interview. We help clients build the confidence they need to re-enter the community. Q: Do you mandate counseling and/or therapy? A: We highly encourage outside therapy and groups. However, we do mandate any more groups than that what is required by probation or parole. We do provide information on local groups and clients will often attend together. Clients ARE required to attend a weekly house meeting that typically takes place on Sundays. During these meetings, clients check-in with the owner and house manager. They discuss highs and lows, give feedback as well provide updates on the house. Q: Do you have a curfew? A: Curfew is 6:00 pm for non-working clients and 10:00 pm for clients who are working or on Social Security. Q: Can a client leave for a weekend? A: We offer 24 and 48 hour passes. They must be approved by probation/parole if needed and also their house manager. Q: Why a halfway house? A: A halfway house is place where people can be supported by others who are in similar life phases. They can come home each day to a group of people who know exactly what they are walking through. Clients are closely monitored to be sure they are making the right decisions and given opportunities to change the trajectory of their lives on their own. Clients grow as individuals, begin to believe in themselves, and are able to reenter society. | ||
